Service Scope
- Insulation resistance testing of alternators using a megohmmeter (Megger)
- Cleaning of alternators using air or chemical methods
- Renewal of drive-end and non-drive-end bearings, including rolling-element bearings
- Repair of bearing housings and bearing seats by welding and fitting bushes
- Removal of alternators from the vessel and transfer to the workshop for maintenance and overhaul, including complete rewinding
- Dynamic balancing of alternator rotors
- Alignment of alternators with diesel engines
